About Me

Hi, I'm Enkhtur Enkhbat — a product-focused software engineer who enjoys building, running, and evolving real-world systems over time.
I care deeply about ownership: making decisions, observing their consequences in production, and iterating based on what actually happens. I'm most comfortable in environments where engineers ship, learn, and improve continuously.
Background
I’ve been working in software development for over a decade, primarily on backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript. Over the past few years, I’ve owned and evolved long-running production systems in the humanitarian domain, where correctness, performance, and reliability all matter.
Alongside my professional work, I actively build and operate my own products, where I handle everything from product decisions to backend logic, infrastructure, and deployment.
What I Do Well
- Own backend systems end-to-end, from data modeling to production debugging
- Design APIs and internal systems that evolve safely over time
- Make pragmatic trade-offs under real constraints (time, ambiguity, incomplete requirements)
- Ship features independently and iterate based on real usage
- Maintain a strong testing mindset and care about developer experience
Experience
Senior Software Engineer — Humanitarian Systems (UNOPS / HPC)
2023 – Present
- Own and evolve core backend APIs supporting humanitarian planning and monitoring workflows used across multiple countries
- Design and maintain complex data models and calculation logic consolidating planning, funding, and response metrics
- Iterate on system design based on production behavior, downstream consumer feedback, and operational incidents
- Take responsibility for production issues end-to-end, from investigation to fix and rollout
- Work closely with cross-functional teams while retaining strong technical ownership of backend decisions
Founder & Product Engineer — msngrbot.com
2025 – Present
- Designing and building a Messenger-based booking product for small businesses (salons, clinics, barbers)
- Owning product decisions, backend architecture, scheduling logic, and deployment
- Shipping features end-to-end without external specifications, balancing speed, simplicity, and reliability
- Continuously refining onboarding and booking flows based on early user behavior and feedback
- Operating the product in production and learning directly from real usage
